President Sun Visited Medical college of Drexel University

Invited by Dr. Yuesong Gong, a well known expert researching in crenial nerve, our prisident Steven Sun including two other people visited Medical college, Drexel University.
In Dr. Gong’s laboratory, Dr. Gong introduced detaily about his research direction and achievements. Our president Sun was interesting in Dr. Gong’s report and hoped the development of early diagnosis reagent of Alzheimer disease. They agreed that the development and application of early diagnosis reagent of Alzheimer disease will contribute to the treatment and prognosis of the disease, and one of the main purposes of the study is actively intervention and prevention of AD’s development.
About Dr. Gong:
Dr. Yuesong Gong worked for Beijing Peking Union Medical Universityin the early years, then teached at Northwestern University and engaged in Alzheimer disease(AD) research. This year he works as an assistant professor in Drexel University, Philadelphia and continues to research of mechanism of Alzheimer disease. What is worth mentioned is that the Dr. Gong found a oligomer ligand (ADDLs) presented in Alzheimer patients and its pathogenicty in 2002 when he worked in the department of pathological physiology at Northwestern University (USA). This discovery has greatly promoted the development of drug and vaccine for the treatment of Alzheimer disease.
