Q1: Symptomatic but test negative?
There is a period from the onset of symptoms of infection to the time when the Antigen tests positive, and this period is when the virus multiplies enough to reach the contagious amount that the test can detect. Meanwhile, flu shares similar symptoms with other respiratory infections. It is recommended to take another test 1-2 days following the first negative result. If retest result still remains negative, flu can be preliminary eliminated. If symptoms do not relieve after medication, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly and to take appropriate precautions.
Q2: How to identify whether the test is effective or not?
Open the kit to see if all the components are complete (instructions, buffer, buffer hose, dropper, test card). Make sure the seal is complete and non-leaking, containing desiccant and plastic cassette.
Q3: How to store the test?
Store at room temperature, valid for 24 months.
Q4: Preparation before operation
The accuracy of the results of in vitro diagnostic tests is closely related to the normalization of our operation. In order to obtain more accurate test results, we recommend to read the instructions carefully before operating the test, and scan the QR code on the box to watch the operation video in full.
Q5: What are the important points for sampling?
To take a nasal swab sample, first remove the secretions in the nostrils to keep clean, and vertically, slowly and gently probe the nose swab into the nasal cavity until the turbinate (about 2.0cm to 2.5cm from the nostrils) is blocked. Rotate the nasal swab on the turbinate mucosa 5-6 times and retained for 10 to 15s, then move out. Please do not use nasal sprays before sampling, as high concentrations of nasal sprays may interfere with test results .
Q6: How to identify whether the results are valid?
After the liquid is added, there is a red line in the observation window at the position marked with C on the cassette, indicating that the result is valid. The result is invalid without this red line.
Q7: Why did the test reagent give invalid results?
If there is no C line, it is an invalid result. Most of the reasons for this situation are not enough drops of liquid into the circular hole slot of the test. At least 2 drops of liquid should be added to each hole, so that the test can complete the entire detection process normally.
Q8: Operating procedures according to the instructions, but the liquid is not enough for 2 drops. Why?
Firstly, the liquid on the swab is not squeezed out and still left in the tube, and secondly, the force is not enough when the liquid is added, the droplets are too small to be enough. In this case, it is recommended to add 10 drops of liquid directly, which will not adversely affect the test results.
Q9: Why my test was negative for 15 minutes, but then showed positive half an hour later?
The method of detection of antigen reagents is immunochromatography, which may show some abnormal results after the result interpretation time, which is caused by the immunochromatography method itself. Just interpret the result according to the instruction manual within 15 minutes. Any positive results after the timeout is invalid.
Q10: Are children and the elderly suitable for testing with this reagent?
This reagent is suitable for different people. Children and the elderly can use this reagent for the detection of Flu A/B as long as there is no difficulty in sampling.
Q11: How to identify if it's flu A or B?
A and B are marked on the cassette, A represents Flu A virus, B represents Flu B virus, and T is also marked at the corresponding position on the cassette. Wherever the T line shows, whatever virus it is. If there is a red line in the observation window corresponding to the T position of A, it is flu A virus infection.
